blackhorn 209

blackhorn 209 for sale

Designed for in-line muzzleloaders with a 209 primer ignition system. This powder creates high velocities and unbeatable accuracy. BlackHorn 209 is the only non-corrosive muzzleloading powder. It’s non-hygroscopic, meaning changes in the temperature or humidity will not affect its performance (reduces misfires), it can be cleaned with regular oil-based solvents and does not require any special primer.

BlackHorn 209 powder uses standard 209 shotshell primers. Because it’s non-corrosive, the need to swab between shots has been eliminated, increasing the amount of time on the field.

Now, if you use an inline muzzleloader and 209 primers, then you’ll very likely get reliable ignition using any of the major brands of black powder or black powder substitutes.

The accuracy of varying charges of different propellants will differ from muzzleloader to muzzleloader though. The only way to find out for sure is to spend some time at the range and see which load shoots best in your particular muzzleloader. one up mushroom bar

That being said though, Blackhorn 209 for sale is probably your best bet for the greatest all around performance.

Like I said earlier, Blackhorn 209 produced by far the most consistent velocities in my test. Consistency is very important for accuracy and using a powder charge that produces almost exactly the same velocity each time will really help in that regard.

The fact that Blackhorn 209 also leaves less fouling in the barrel not only makes it easier to clean, but also helps accuracy when taking multiple shots in a row since there isn’t as much variation in the amount of fouling in the barrel.

Blackhorn 209 for sale has been hard to find for many modern muzzleloaders for some time now

Blackhorn 209 has not been discontinued, Hodgdon isn’t setting out to take away one of the best selling modern muzzleloading propellants, powder production in 2020 just didn’t meet demand.

Hopefully, Hodgdon is listening to Blackhorn209 shooters and produces enough this year to keep up with demand and we can all get to the range and plan our hunts knowing we will have powder.

That being said, with the current ammunition and cap/primer shortages out there, we can do our part to help Hodgdon keep up with demand by not over buying or panic buying our supplies this year.

There are a lot of rumors going around online about the supply of Blackhorn 209 and if the Hodgdon acquisition last year was just to squash some competition. 300 savage ammo has them in stock at an affordable price.

These blackhorns are rare and we have a lot of clients that fear we don’t have them in stock but we do and we sell them at the best available prices available. feel free and place your order and our agent will get to you to proceed with payment.
